The sieve of Erathosthenes

The prime numbers are a very peculiar set of natural numbers. There is no mathematical formula that descibes these numbers. The best way to find them is to use the well known ‘sieve of  Erathosthenes’: an elemination process that results in the prime numbers. A specific property of allmost all prime numbers leads to a definition that resembles the sieve of Erathosthenes.
